Swissvax Glacier Review

Swissvax Glacier

Swissvax Glacier is especially for white cars.
it contains 40% carnauba and white pigments to enhance the color.
before applying any swissvax-wax the cleaner fluid is a must.

the wax is best applied with the hands (yes hands, not a pad), residence time is 30min.
the advantage when applying by hands is its possible to feel where wax has already been applied and where not.

results:

Swissvax Cleaner Fluid: the color of the reflections went noticeable "warmer", more brilliance.
Swissvax Wax: will give more reflections (example clouds) and protection.

Regular is non abrasive.

Swissvax Glacier, apply with the hand.

2016/06/18 applied.
2016/07/08 all ok, first car wash after 3 weeks (with swissvax car bath).
2016/07/23 all ok, second car wash, still spotless.

after 35 days

2016/08/06 - after 49 days, 3rd car wash, everything ok.

after 49 days

2016/08/24 - after 67 days, 4th car wash, all ok.

after 67 days

2016/09/11 - 85 days, 5th car wash, all ok.

85 days

2016/09/24 - 98 days, 6th car wash. all ok but water drops on hood and trink a bit bigger.

BEFORE wash, still deep gloss.

98 days

2016/10/04 - 108 days, 7th car wash. wax at trunk not in best condition, rest still ok.

2016/10/22 - 127 days, 8th car wash, still all good but waxed the car again but was not needed at all.

127 days - wax still good.

clayed the trunk - the wax works, did not let trough any dirt.

after waxed again, turns out no difference in shine, the wax was still OK.

cleaning wheels: Swissvax and Sonax Tar Remover

Cars with big brakes or performance cars in general will create more brake dust.
This means the wheels are harder to clean and more advanced products are a must and needed.

sometimes even wheel cleaners with acid will NOT clean the wheel completely.
This is a guide exactly for this problem.

for best results remove the wheel.

as can be seen, it looks like the brake dust is since a long time on the wheel.

Step 1: Swissvax Wheel Cleaner Forte , Swissvax Brush
Clean the wheel, use the Swissvax Brush: you wont get stuck with the Swissvax brush between the spokes, because the handguard is a rubber part and not plastic.

The purpose is to CLEAN the wheel, not to get rid of baked in brake dust.

as can be seen, there is still some dirt / brake dust left on the wheel.

2. get rid of baked in brake dust / dirt around the wheel lug nut area

Now its time for the details, the product for this purpose is "SONAX Teerentferner".
do NOT use it on hot surface, READ instructions!
a normal Polish applied by hand did NOT work.
